At Zion City of Praise, we are dedicated to cultivating a vibrant community of believers who passionately pray, worship, tithe and serve God together. Rooted in the liberating Word of God, we strive to inspire spiritual growth by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ through Christian education, evangelism, Christian nurture and benevolence. Through fervent prayer, fasting, and meditation, we seek to deepen our connection with God, and one another, regardless of background, ethnicity, age or socio-economic status. We strive, both individually and collectively, to align our lives with God’s purpose. Together, we aim to transform lives, glorify God, and foster an atmosphere of fellowship and support by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Zion City of Praise is a vibrant community dedicated to fervent worship, transformative prayer, selfless service and spiritual growth.

1. Fervent Worship:

We envision a place where hearts are stirred and souls are ignited in worship, creating an atmosphere where the presence of God is tangibly experienced, and people encounter divine transformation and inspiration.

2. Transformative Prayer:

We envision a congregation that embraces the power of prayer as an essential practice, fostering a culture of intercession, personal communion with God, and spiritual breakthroughs that impact individuals, families, and communities.

3. Selfless Service:

We envision a community of believers who embody Christ’s servant heart, sacrificially serving others with humility, compassion, and joy, using their unique gifts, financial resources, and talents to make a positive difference in the lives of those around them.

4. Spiritual Growth:

We envision a congregation where individuals are both empowered and encouraged to deepen their relationship with the Triune God, nurturing their spiritual growth through meaningful engagement with Scripture, discipleship, and the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

With these elements at the core of our vision, we strive to be a vibrant, worshipful, benevolent, prayerful, and service-oriented church, impacting lives, transforming communities, and bringing glory to God.

• We believe in the Triune God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:13-17)
• We believe that Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, died for our sin and was raised from the dead. (John 3:16-17)
• We believe in the observance of Holy Communion. (1 Cor. 11:23-26)
• We believe that water Baptism connects us to the Universal Church as well as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Acts 8:26-40)
• We believe in the indwelling and baptism of the Holy Spirit. (John 14:15-17)
• We believe in the Great Commission as the primary assignment of the local church. (Matthew 28:16-20)

Role of the Membership:

The members are the body of the church, called to serve and support one another in the work of the ministry.

Responsibilities of the Membership:

• To participate in worship, fellowship, and service (Hebrews 10:24-25)
• To use their spiritual gifts to edify the church (1 Corinthians 12:7)
• To support the ministry through the offering of time, talents and monetary gifts (Malachi 3:10-11)
• Support the leadership through prayer and encouragement (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)
